GYMO, PC Watertown, NY | Architecture, Engineering, Environmental, Surveying

GYMO, P.C. attended the October 30th Town Board meeting to start the petitioning process on the proposed Town of Watertown NE Water District.  The water distribution system proposed would serve portions of NYS Route 12, NYS Route 126, County Route 160, Hunt Street, Overlook Drive and Weaver, Ridge, and Hadcock Roads.  The project is proposed to be supplied by water from the City of Watertown's distribution system.  The trunk main up State Street/Rte. 126 will be 8-inch in diameter, while all others will be 4-inch.  See below for the drawing which was presented.  The handout from the meeting is also shown below which provides a brief overview of the project costs per EDU based on water usage and potential cost savings from no longer having a well.  You can right click to save the image or zoom in with Ctrl +. to get a better view.  Residents are able to view the water district mapping and/or sign the petition at the Town offices during regular hours.  Additional public signing sessions will be scheduled in the near future.

GYMO, P.C. provided Site/Civil Engineering services for the Nice N Easy convenience store located on outer Coffeen Street in the Town of Watertown that is to be completed very soon.  The project involved parking layout, water and sanitary services design, and stormwater facilities designed in accordance with NYS DEC standards.  Site plan approval was obtained along with NYS DOT approval for a new entrance onto a state highway.  GYMO, P.C.  prepared a detailed Erosion Control and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan which addressed the impact of the redevelopment on the lot.

Over the past several years, GYMO, P.C. has been involved with the “Adopt A Platoon” program. We have sponsored numerous troops from the Fort Drum area during their deployment overseas. GYMO, P.C. employees put together “supply boxes” with items ranging anywhere from hygiene products to packaged foods to magazines and books that the soldiers will receive periodically while deployed.

Currently we have “adopted” the 2-14 Infantry Regiment Bravo Company that deployed at the beginning of January 2013. Throughout the deployment, GYMO, P.C., will correspond to troop members via email.
